Handlers searched a 40,000-document intranet to confirm coverage. New joiners took months to reach productivity, and answers varied by office.

Constraints

No processing outside the EU. The DPO required a documented DPIA and a full query audit trail. Answers without a source were unacceptable.

What we built

Xelec Assist in an EU region, with permission inheritance from the document system, enforced citations, refusal at low confidence, and a quarterly audit export.
