Constraints
GDPR and internal policy prohibited any processing outside the EU. The DPO required a documented DPIA and a full query audit trail. Answers without a source were unacceptable.
What we built
Xelec Assist in an EU region with permission inheritance from the document management system, citation enforcement, refusal behaviour when confidence is low, and an audit export the DPO signs off quarterly.
Outcome
Median time to a sourced coverage answer fell from minutes to seconds. Onboarding time for new handlers shortened materially. Zero answers shipped without a traceable source.
