Context
Around 4,800 documents a day arrived by email and fax in over 200 layouts. Three offshore teams retyped them into the TMS, and errors surfaced weeks later at invoicing.
Constraints
No change to the TMS was permitted. Carrier data could not leave US regions. The CFO required payback inside two quarters.
What we built
Xelec Extract with per-field confidence, an exception console for the 6% below threshold, and a write-back adapter into the existing TMS. A 1,200-document labelled set gates every model change.
Outcome
Straight-through processing reached 94% in week six. Two retyping shifts moved to carrier onboarding. Intake-related invoice disputes fell by roughly two thirds.
